A Brief History
Maks Lamar is an artist, audio engineer, and mastering expert with over 17 years of experience and more than 350 mastered projects released on vinyl, Apple Music, Spotify, and across 20 international labels.
He blends progressive house and downtempo to create music that invites reflection and connection, merging analog warmth with modern precision. His sound—shaped by the ocean’s pulse and the movement of air—balances depth and clarity, turning emotion into frequency.
Trained in Buenos Aires, Maks has collaborated with artists and producers in 16 countries, including Fragma, DJ Tarkan, and numerous international creators through productions associated with Joel Diamond (Capitol Records, Warner, Sony).
His work in mastering, mixing, and restoration has contributed to projects involving Gloria Gaynor, Afrojack, David Hasselhoff, and Engelbert Humperdinck, showcasing his versatility and attention to sonic detail.
He has also developed his own mastering methodology based on harmonic series and logarithmic octaves, a technique that enhances the clarity and tonal balance of sound—proven effective in the restoration of legacy recordings by The Invitations, Benny Mardones, and Al Martino, artists produced by Joel Diamond.
These works have been featured in global radio shows and playlists such as Vonyc Sessions, Group Therapy (Above & Beyond), and Resident, reaching audiences worldwide.
